Dear WIFS Denver Members:

As 2019 ends, we reflect on our years accomplishments and learning opportunities, of both there have been many, and look forward to what our next year will bring.

For me, moving into the last part of the year gives me the opportunity to reconnect with friends, colleagues, and my community. It also gives me the opportunity to take a breath and focus on the amazing view of 2020. I am so passionate and thankful for the amazing community, #mytribe, that we have created. I get excited because, when I look at our exceptional group, within our Denver/Rocky Mountain Chapter and our National Group I know we are the disrupters of the status quo and are here to mentor and usher in a new way of being in business.

This last year brings about the feelings of community, momentum, and accomplishment within each of our lives and our careers, as well as, the individual growth of each of you. This year has been inspiring, and provides a new level of pride that comes with not only shattering the records of our group but being recognized as the 2019 WIFS National Chapter of the Year! This did not happen because you were just here, this happened because you all brought our community together. We have been there to support new women coming into the industry and those that are deciding to take their career down another path. We have seen our sisters grow personally and professionally and take on new courageous endeavors. There is nothing I am prouder of than our group of professional, successful and courageous members that are leading the way in this industry.

The momentum that we have built this year in membership, engagement, and overall growth is again because of you! Without your commitment to take our group to the next level we would not be here. As we continue to grow the chapter, there are challenges that we know we will face. Denver and the surrounding areas are expansive, and as our group continues to grow finding space that will accommodate us. Having the commitment and participation from each of you at our events is more important than you would know. That engagement brings an exceptional amount of value to WIFS and the community we serve.

Personally, I am humbled every month when we get together. The amount of encouragement and fire you all give each month is what helps fill my soul. I am excited to start the new year with grand expectations as we continue to attract, develop and advance each other and our potential members.

I do have some Asks for 2020:

  • I ask that you speak up. I want to hear from each of you.I want to know what you need to be successful in your career. I want to know the trials and tribulations in your personal lives. I want to know how this group and myself can be of highest value to you. It is proven that when we seek to be of highest value to those around us, that value will be reciprocated to us in abundance. This is your #tribe, utilize and connect with the women and men in this group and help each other grow.

  • I ask that you reach out across the table and connect with someone you have not met before.

  • I ask that you think about this group when referring clients or building affiliate partnerships.

  • I ask that our groups foundation grow and that can only happen with You; with your involvement, your voice, your engagement and your ideas.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart, you all are the driving force behind the momentum and change we all want to see. I am excited for what 2020 is going to bring!
