A letter from the WIFS Denver President, Ashleigh Rothhammer
_____
Dear WIFS Members:
As 2018 ends, we re-define the meaning of gratitude, and concentrate on the time of giving. We are focusing on what this year was about and preparing for what is to come.
For me, the down time at work this season (semi-serious) gives me more time to re-engage with friends and colleagues, re-energize and focus on the Mile High view of 2019. I get excited about #mytribe within our Denver/Rocky Mountain Chapter and our National Group of exceptional women and men (Bob, I am talking about you 😊).
This last year brings about the feelings of connectivity, engagement, and progression within each of our lives and our careers, as well as, the individual growth of each of you. This year really heightens the sense of pride that you can only experience when you see our chapters yearly goals shattered at the finish line. We have all been there for new women coming into this group/industry while helping each other reach new levels in our careers. We have seen our sisters (and Bob) take steps into management, win high achievers awards, continue to celebrate those wins and other exceptional events together. There is nothing I am prouder of than our group of professional, successful and courageous members that are leading the way in this industry.
Our amazing strides this year in membership, content, networking and overall growth are because of all of you. Without each of you and your commitment, we would not be here. Growing this chapter brings challenges since Denver and the surrounding areas are expansive. With that said, our reach must cater to its diverse community. Having the commitment of each of you attending the meetings and participating is more important than you know. That engagement brings an exceptional amount of value to WIFS and the community we serve.
Personally, the encouragement and drive that you all give me each month is unparalleled, and I am so excited to start this new year with grand expectations as we continue to attract, develop and advance each other and our potential members.
I do have some Asks for 2019:
- I ask that you speak up. I want to hear from each of you. I want to know what you need to be successful in your career. I want to know the trials and tribulations in your personal lives. I need ideas, such as tax prep ideas, expert organization speakers, product updates from wholesalers, or even something as simple as relaxation methods. This is your #tribe, utilize and connect with the women and men in this group and help each other grow.
- I ask that you reach out across the table and connect someone you have not met before.
- I ask that you think about this group when referring clients or building affiliate partnerships.
- I ask that our groups foundation grow and that can only happen with You; with your involvement, your voice, your engagement and your ideas.
It is a proven fact that gratitude reciprocates… With that said, I am thankful for all of you and I am excited for what is to come in 2019!
Sincerely,
Ashleigh Rothhammer
2018-2019 WIFS Denver/Rocky Mountain President
