Every month, a member of the Denver WIFS/Rocky Mountain Chapter is recognized for exemplary status: sharing knowledge with peers, being helpful and taking on additional tasks to support industry networking, engagement and promotion.

The member of this month is, Tammie Myers Sharp. See what Tammie had to say to President Elect, Ashleigh Rothhammer, in her Member of the Month Interview!

What is your current position?

Financial Advisor at Lucet Advisors, part of Wealth Strategies Group.

What is one word that describes how you like to work?

What are you looking for from your WIFS members?

Connection with women in the industry and helping each other, because it is a different world for us than for the guys.

What's your favorite moment of your career?

It's heart breaking, but it's actually the day I knew my dear friend would be okay because she had the money to not go back to work right away and to get the counseling she needed when her 17 year old died in a car accident.  I sold that policy based on the thought of protecting the child's future from any un-insurable situations, but her thanks when she was able to give it for what it meant to her, was a big heartfelt moment.

What was your childhood dream job?

Stay at home mom!!!  But that isn't a realty for many, me included.

How do you spend your free time?

Dancing, time with friends and family, convertible rides and Hallmark movies.

What is your motto or personal mantra?

I know the plans the Lord has for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you.  Jer 29:11

What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you?

That I grew up counting baker's dozens of worms and minnows, selling beer in brown paper bags on Sunday (thanks dad for the illegal activity - compliance won't read this right? lol) and Christmas trees in November and December, cleaning pheasants during hunting season, riding the tractor for fun, Tom's peanuts in a Dr Pepper is the best; and life was fun because people often thought my mom and I were twins (yes like me, thankfully, she looked younger than she was).
